Brass Buddha Prayer Pendant, Buddhist, Tibetan, Gao, Gau, Prayer Locket
A Gao is a reliquary. (There are many spellings of this word.) This pendant can be opened. A devotee might fill the box with a fiber of cloth belonging to a Holy person or something that has significance to his or her spiritual path. On the back it is inscribed with the mantra, "Om mani padme hum." or "A jewel in a lotus."
